The state of the climate -- and what we might do about it. 

     Will a hundred years from now be the worst of centuries or the best of centuries? Lord Nicholas gives an example using his experience twenty-five years ago while visiting Beijing. He went to teach there and as for transportation, he used a bicycle to get around. It was to go around. However, today all the cars and truck is making bicycling dangerous because the cracks on the roads. The air is much worse and at age sixty, people should not go outside or move too much. He says that we should see that China burns half the worlds coal each year and that is why a key reason of why it has green house gases. China has grown rapidly and lifted people out of poverty, but know that is unsustainable path of growth and development. In which they will build cities in different ways and cut down some coal.

            In general our population will grow, more energy will be use, and the pressure on land, water, and forest will increase later in the years. But if we are not careful on our actions we can create pollution, waist, and destruction toward our own world in which we need to survive, our only home. Green house gasses will grow and ruined the climate change. We will risk temperatures that we never experienced. It will change everywhere and people would move risking the environment we need to survive. Knowing this we will have to do a change a transformation. It is an opportunity that we can use or an opportunity we can lose.

            People hear what is happening, feel they should do something, but they don’t do anything. Something we have to do is invest our cities. Reuse, Reduce, and Recycle, something simple, in which anyone can do. Something we heard in our lives. Making good choices gives you good result, if your destination is about a mile, instead driving a car a walk wont hurt using the public bus will reduce the smoke that will go in the air. Buying a water bottle, after you finished drinking the water, reuse it by adding more water or recycle by putting in a recycling bin not in the trash.  Are we going to look our next two generations in the eye and tell them that we understood the issues that recognized the dangers and opportunities and will still fail to act? Surely not, lets make then next hundred years the best of centuries by acting on our opportunities to change and transform in a better lifestyle.

How Algorithm Shape Our World.

How algorithms shape our world.

     We are living in a world design for algorithm. It is shaping our world and by living in it's design is increasingly controlling our lives, as well as being a major role in our everyday lives. From Wall Street to Netflix, algorithms have been solving step by step on solutions for the problem. It has even made a big spy plane look like small flock birds and bring it back as a whole. It has determined, espionage tactics, stock prices, movie scripts, and architecture. However, algorithmic trading is hardly understood. We are writing codes we can't understand, with implications we can't control. These algorithms is not an information site like Google you can't normally see them. 

     In the stock market algorithmic trading is relied upon. Which possibly this trading includes your pension fund and your mortgage. In the video "How Algorithms Shape Our World" with Kevin Slavin he discusses how the world we are living is designed for algorithms. He also discusses that some of this trading requires speed in transferring data, which needs to close to a fiber optic cables. That is why trading companies like in Wall Street are buying places close to one point near Carrier Hotel in New York. And not only that from Chicago and New York a new fast speed cable is being built between them, just to take away the time to place a trade by a few microseconds.

     It has now been part of our everyday lives. Architecture uses algorithms to make a better resources, and the cleaning robots are one example. In the video with Kevin Slavin the architectural algorithms that drive their computer codes, the types of models have different ideas about what cleaning means, as they go around dirty floors. When you are using Netflix to watch a movie or read a book online at the end you get a recomendations on what you may interesting in seeing next. Algorithms are being used to analyse and predict behavior on the human world. This algorithm is truly shaping our culture.    

     Going back to the stock market and not being able to understand the codes, algorithms can be somewhat scary. When the Flash Crash 2:45 happened no one actually knew about it or what happened to it. And if algorithmic trading, like in Wall Street,  just crashed again and went awry, how would we know, what would it look like? Whether we like it or not, algorithms, same with nature and humans, are the forces that are shaping our world.

     Generation Like is almost like the evolution of social media. Even now you can see it change. All these social media are being used by everyday that it benefits them more in their work life. Why? By us clicking the like button it shows the company what we like and use that information to make more advertisement for us to see. For example, you are in your Facebook and you like a new video game that just came out. Facebook will use that information and the next time you log into your account, you will see more ads on similar video games. Your lies are the benefits of the advertiser. Even the consumer makes its own advertisement. 

     Back in the old days it was only one way to find new products and see the different advertisement. They will see billboards and walls to see posters on what the lasting is. Now you can just go to Facebook like something and more products that you liked will come up. Now that market is fast. With everything evolving day by day is starting to come out in everywhere you log in or visit. Back then there was the radio where you heard the latest music, now you can go to YouTube and see their music video. Even the music videos are advertising to you making themselves be advertised. People are using them to advertise and being able to get money. Like YouTube they have people blogging about stuff they use or things they do, later to realize that they are showing products that are wanting to be bought. Seeing you like them, they make the one person in the video as the big billboard you see every day.

     The video used a reference to the Hunger Games and is almost similar to our technology world. We are in the arena when it comes to technology, finding ways to survive, by liking, commenting, or sharing. In the arena we all need sponsors or people to like us, and that is why we post things that can satisfy others and make you feel better too. The people behind the arena are controlling you with their every move. Like the first paragraph they move you, taking you somewhere they want to take you. You need people to like you. Are something people thinking for themselves when they go to Facebook, twitter, and other portals.

     Having discovered this, it makes me remember how I am when I get to these portals and what I post up.  I know I am in the arena with the rest and there is no denying. People should realize what they do and how is actually working. If likes where to become money even that would change.

Hi Deeders!!!

Well my summer is almost over.
No! School... oh wait hmmm Yay! School?
I will see my friends and it is my Senior year. However, homework is coming, procrastination is coming, and studying is coming. Why is School so complicated?
Summer. The whole time I have been doing in summer is reading books, volunteering, cleaning, eating, swimming, and watching a whole bunch of movies. Oh and I forgot watching Doctor Who. I have become a fan Merlin too. British shows are wonderful.
So today is officially the day I am moving from Utah to California. I am excited but as well sad. I did like it here, everything was calm and I did not had too many distractions. However, in California I have people I am glad of seeing. So today is that day and possibly show that I have change a bit.
I may not be a good writer but I hope that I will improve in time.

Sunday Break!

Hi Deeders!
Well it's Sunday and we all need a break. Metaphorically. Some have to work and some have to ... work. See what I did there. I pretty much suck at this.
I actually don't know what to write today. So I will be pretty much tell you my future plans that I want to work on.
I was thinking to make a video on bullying. I want to see how people react as well to show it out there. See if there people paying attention. I also need to get myself a crew to help me create this idea and give them the right position to make this work.
I am writing a story, just because. I am going to suck because I don't write well and like half the way from the story you would be completely be lost.
There will be ideas of me making videos instead on writing but that is still on question. Just for this news I guess stay alert in my vlogs.

Random FreakyFun Saturda! Starring GODZILLA (2014)!!!

  Hi Deeders!!
So as you can see (read) in the heading I went to watch it on Friday!
I went through all the previews and was interested to watch some in the summer, but I'm going of topic.
I still had popcorn in my bowl, which was awesome because you know, there will be always a time in which you finish them before the damn movie starts.
My guesses for the movie was this, It was going to be the original but a much better graphic picture and that's pretty much it.
However, my fellow readers it wasn't what I had expected. It was more like a Godzilla vs. ___ movie. I mean it really got interesting. The problem for me was I was talking the whole entire movie. I mean like a background voice. I was glad I was speaking in low volume. There was a time I did scream GODZILLA in which some people laughed. Warning there will be a time someone will scream his name and probably will be me, you don't know it's dark.  I'm a GENIUS!
Gosh, in the middle of the movie I really needed to use the restroom but I didn't wan to leave, so I ended up holding it the entire movie. I think my kidney is going to die on me one day. BUT NOT TODAY!! I AM INVINCIBLE!
Guys there will be no spoilers here, so I recommend you to watch because I was glad I went the movie theaters to see, than to wait. Except if you want to go watch the new X-Men movie, I ain't stopping you. I mean right now is a battle between GODZILLA and X-MEN. Who will win?!? (Dramatic sound in the background)  
Guys I'm glad there is BLOGGER. I makes me open up more! could it be I may start posting up videos?!? Probably not since I'm still shy with the openest. Well...

Come on SUMMER (Thursday)!!!

Hi Deeders! How you guys been!

So it’s Thursday and I am still in school. Just a couple more days and is my New Years and the beginning of my Summer vacation and others out there. It has been a year already but I know I haven’t been posting or updating. I feel I am going to that a lot. I hope not.

Why is it starting to feel time is going slower. Well in physics if you want to make time feel faster the you make more velocity.  Science is cool, never mind that. This summer is going to be really hot, I can feel it and its just spring. I am going to miss spring: the nice flowers, the fresh air, and the rain. Summer is just going to be stuffy and humid. Some of us are not going to feel uncomfortable. Really, some would exaggerate on how hot it is, for sure I will be one them. Guys! Get ready with my annoying complains on the weather.  After that is fall, now that is my favourite season. So I need to make a whole lot of activities to make summer fun and a fly by. FALL COME TO ME!!

BUTTERFLIES IN MY STOMACH! Why Wednesday!

Hi Deeders!!

                Today I started to look at YahooAnswers to find the most ridiculous question I could find and answer them as if someone asked me for my advice. And some are from what I heard, literally, in my life but I won’t tell you which is which. Just enjoy my world famous probably bad advices that may be asked to me. Also, I would answer honestly>

(Note: I would put fake names to the person’s question, so it’s anonymous.)

Here I go…                         

1) Start simple. Shaun asks, “How do you kill a zombie?”

                If you have a weapon like a knife or a gun or even a hammer, aim towards the head where the brain is located at. Double tap just to make sure, twice is better. Don’t be afraid just aim the head also if you don’t have a weapon try to avoid the saliva and mouth, those things are feisty and bite. Go behind them and twist their neck like you want to crack you neck, so use both hands. Hope that helps. IF IT EVER HAPPENS!! (sorry sorry got to be nice.) Next.

2) Samantha asks, “What good book should I read?”

                Read manga. Which ever, they are all good, but if you want a chapter book read Prom Dates from Hell by Delacorte Press is better than you think.

3)  Adrian asks, “My wife changed Facebook status from ‘Married’ to ‘Widowed’ should I be worried?”

                Yes! Dude start running! Hahaha. But seriously, not really, Facebook can be a little complicated and probably is hacked and it’s the internet anything can happen. Just talk to her more and take her out I think you’ll be safe then.

4) Jack asks, “What is he meaning of procrastination?”

                I’ll tell you later…

                Just kidding. I think you are to, you troll. But seriously dude, if you’re looking for the definition of a word just go find yourself a dictionary, you will be amazed at how many words you can find in there. There is even an online version if you don’t want to hold a book. Or wipe out you phone and look it up. Thumbs up for people. You are all amazing.

                Here the definition: is when you say you are going to do it but you end telling yourself that you have time later to do it, so you don’t do it.

5) Kimberly asks, “why do I feel butterflies in my stomach?”

                Don’t you remember, I think you ate a bowl of caterpillars last spring. 

                Nah you are just nervous of some sort. Probably from being scared or embarrassed or shy. I DON’T KNOW! I’m so bad at this.

6) Christina asks, “Am I pregnant?”

                Another troll. Sigh. To tell you the truth which I still be doing so, I don’t know. You know why because I can’t see you and the only person can is you. Go get a pregnancy test please. It will make a lot of sense to you. Smiley face.

7) Last but not least, Ambrose asks, “What should I wear today?”

                Hahaha! Anything but your pajamas or you know what keep them on just do your hair all pretty and no one will notice. If you want my style is this: anything I see that is clean (not kidding) but when looking nice is a pair of blue jeans and a plain shirt. Don’t push to much. 

Now that was all I found FOR TODAY!!! Muahahahaha!

Hope you enjoyed it and if I did sound mean or boring just forget me I will be in the corner acting like a carrot so no worries. I am totally a weird child.

   FOR THE BOOKS!!!

Just two for today. Yes why me? because now shh. It is my own opinion so if you want to read it go for it but if you don't is alright! People who read it some will think " what the hell DEE told us it was good" well I did tell you it was opinion so...some people will have different tastes. Just saying!

1) Old Magic by Marianne Curley

This book well... If you like supernatural books this is one. It's not a series so is just one book. I will try will not to spoil it alright! So this new boy come to school and a girl notice something odd about him. She is apparently a witch but a good one, so she figures out hes a wizard and there a curse in his bloodline. Would he believe her or think she is crazy? And that my folks is all I'm saying. Read it don't look it up alright makes life better. Seriously! So if you don't have a book to read and do not want to read a series then read this I guess TIME will PASS by. Now to the next book! ON GUARD!








2) Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston

Reading this book most people will know, and probably read it too and watched the movie. Some who haven't is something no writer has wrote that I have read and has a story line that catches my eyes. Is a female book who's perspective is a woman, of course, named Janie. This book takes to a place where a woman tries to find love instead of sorrow, fear, and foolishness. It may be difficult to read because the speak very, I mean very, southerner. For me and some others will think whats wrong with this woman. Well to tell you the truth I read this book in class, not the best but I kind of enjoyed it. If you like read it, it will help you in school especially in English class and you can learn something about life I guess I don't know. NOT GOOD AT REVIEWING BOOKS. Just my opinion. So go for it, do you thing.

Summers Coming Deeders!! (Why Wednesday!)

Sorry you guys I couldn't publish it on Wednesday but here it is.
 You guys the school year is almost over WHAT!! Yeah my new years is coming. But here some tips or my opinions if this ever happens because I know it always happens to me ^.^ And I think this is a big deal for people!

Right before summer vacation, you feel the school year is going too slow. You count down the months, the weeks, the days, the classes, the minutes, and soon the seconds, excited for school to end. When the day comes, some don’t have plans made out for their vacation. Then you realize that you ended up spending the next three months sleeping till noon and forgetting everything except eating and turning the electronics on. Instead of regretting, the three months of freedom and feeling it pass by with just a snap of your fingers. Try to do something to take away the boredom and laziness.

            When summer comes, your friends might be on a real vacation and you are stuck here with no one to hang out with except your siblings, your neighbor’s kid, or your cousins. Try not to worry about it would be fun if make up some ideas or even a summer bucket list on things you want really do.

            Trying to plan out all the exciting things you want to do, and then to get trapped in a cycle of boredom within a week because half of it has been done or you cannot do them. You probably know the drill and have been there before, but don’t you worry. Maybe those who have think it won’t work because there is nothing to do, it’s too hot, and the theme parks are too expensive or have to money to go to one. So, what can you do? What can you put in that summer bucket list?

            There are many ideas that are out there you can add to your list. For example, you can, buy ice cream and make something out of it like an ice cream sandwich. Go camping; you don’t really have to go anywhere to do it. Go to your back yard if you like, don’t have one, do it in your living room with blankets and pillows, bring back childhood memories. If you want bring the s’mores, yum!! Go to beach or a lake with your whole family and make picnic, don’t forget your sunscreen though it is going to be sunny. Have a movie marathon at your house and get packets of popcorn and drinks.

            In the summer, you sometimes have to get up and do some work outside. Volunteer possibly in animal shelter to see the dogs and cats; you can be lucky and find puppies and kittens. If you want money, apply for a part time job and you can go anywhere you want with your check. Even go to an outside concert of your favorite band if you like. Go biking, running, or even walking, don’t want to get chubby. Go to pool, it is going to be hot, have a water balloon fight, or play with the sprinkles or water hoes.

            If you want learn something new or even make the ideas you had years ago. Take pictures, keep anything you did or get. At the end of the summer you can even make a scrapbook or a journal of all your memories you did in summer. These are just ideas which you don’t have to do is not mandatory, regardless, of how you want to spend your summer, be sure to make the most of it. Summer vacation is not part of your whole life. Come up with some of your own and be creative. Your summer vacation will only be feeling boring and fast if you allow it to be.   

I want ice cream!!!!!
